The quilt I made at the entrance of my quilting room. (The closet pretty much looks like that.)
Thinking Outside the Box - I saw this pattern at our Retreat and loved it. The shop owner only had one pattern with her, and I begged her to sell it to me. She did, and here's the quilt.
These are four pre-printed blocks that I quilted. I needed these to learn how to attach blocks after they have been quilted. This was a quilt as you go project.
I saw this quilt on the Simply Quilt's TV show. Three quilters were give packets of fabrics and they had to use all fabrics and only add one of there own. A gentlemen came up with this idea and I thought, I have to try this, so here is my version.
Lone Star - Different technique with no Y seams. Machine pieced and machine quilted.
Hemingway's Garden - This was my first attempt at applique, (nothing like jumping in with both feet). This was a block of the month, which I hand quilted when the top was completed.
My Unicorn - I designed this piece useing raw edge applique. I then covered the piece with sparkling netting, free motion quilted on top of the netting, and then embellished it.
Crossroads - I made this quilt for my daughter and her husband. It is machine pieced and machine quilted by me. This was my first attempt to quilt something this large. I accomplished this by quilting it in six sections, and then putting the quilted pieces together.
Let It Snow - This was my first try at raw edge applique. I used the buttonhole stitch to put the pieces on. The butthole stitch was done on the machine. I then hand quilted the piece.
Attic Window - Tecnique learned at our quilting retreat, the class was given by Quilters Dream
Here comes summer. A raw edge applique quilt on a pieced background. It was dificult to quilt because of all the layers of fabric.
This is the new cabinets we installed in my quilting room. The bottom toe board has been completed since this picture was taken, but the cabinets have cleaned up this room, and I just love being in here.
